13. Are there laundry facilities?

Yes, there is a washing machine for doing your own laundry if you wish, or you can take your laundry to our caretakers’ house and pay her to do it.  Very few homes in Italy have clothes dryers. There is a clothesline below the castle walls; it can be reached via the doorway in the patio down steep stone stairs.  By general agreement, we don’t hang laundry within the walls of the castle.  The house also has an iron and ironing board.
