18. What should we do if the lights go out?

If the lights go out, it’s probably because a circuit breaker has been tripped. Try to avoid tripping the breaker by not using too many electrical appliances at any one time (convection oven, dishwasher, iron, hair dryer, washing machine, vacuum cleaner, etc.). Appliances that generate heat are the most troublesome.   If the breaker does trip, after unplugging one or two appliances, simply throw the switches behind the small wooden door just after the arched window next to the footbridge.

Occasionally in the countryside, electricity will go off through no fault of your own.  Please be patient. The electric company should put it back on in a few minutes.
