29. What recreational activities are in the area?

In town, the municipal tennis courts, both clay and composition, are in a beautifully landscaped setting.  In addition to both indoor and outdoor courts, there are showers, changing rooms, and ample parking.  The Olympic-size outdoor swimming pool is adjacent to the tennis courts. The town is hurrying to complete a handsome year-round indoor pool. 

The nearby Tiber River is perfect for both kayaking and fishing; in fact it’s one of the few tail waters in Italy.  For golfers and equestrians, it’s just a short drive to the stunning Antognolla Golf Club or to any one of several riding stables.

Hiking trails are well-marked.  Walks on country roads take you across green hills colored with yellow broom flowers and through valleys ablaze with fields of sunflowers.
